The version you are using is on the install key itself. There's an empty file in the root with the date and version number.

As for the hostname issue, you can save a bunch of time by just manually setting the hostnames using the option under "Expert Options" on the key itself. This does everything you did manually in a fairly simple way. Alternatively, you can disable the auto-update by rem-ing 'hostname-update' in /etc/rc.local

Hey Ronald, thanks for the new instructions! One quick question: turning off the hostname update should no longer be an issue as of v0.911 of ubermix. Are you using an older version, or are you still experiencing this issue on a version since v0.911?

I don't know if I have the newest version or not? How do I check the version of ubermix (because I know it is based on ubuntu)

I also had a problem with /etc/skel and I had to make modifications. I had no problems on other versions of linux (opensuse, etc) but for some reason I could not just do a copy -r from the home. instead I just specified the specific files. (the .config .local, etc) I will update this until I fix all the bugs. I keep finding little errors that I made. Sorry for the problems.
