Some older model netbooks, like the EeePC 901, use a quirky version of the Realtek RT2860STA wireless card, which causes them to have problems reconnecting to wireless networks when waking from sleep. Owners of EeePC 901 and similar models that are experiencing problems can fix them on ubermix by doing the following:
- Press ctrl-alt-t to open a terminal
- Type /usr/local/lib/eeepc/fix.sh and press the enter key
This will swap out the default driver with a version that is more compatible with the wireless card.
